ABOUT LIGHTHOUSE
Lighthouse is a board game about the pursuit of a meaningful career. As a “serious” game, players are invited to come together in a safe space to reflect about their own professional trajectories and think about what truly brings them meaning at work. The game recreates the setting of a “navigation”, where players are sailors that navigate across their past, present and future in a quest to connect to their own lighthouse. Lighthouse in this context is the awareness, the guidance, the deepest connection between drive and purpose.

OBJECTIVE
Lighthouse is a vision-setting tool that can be used to achieve clarity but also to push players out of their comfort zones. Because it is a non-competitive game, it has no winners or losers. Rather, the methodology encourages collective learning through empathy and the deep listening of each professional story being told during the game. Throughout the “navigation”, players are challenged to make commitments, and to reach a final decision that will bring them closer to their Lighthouse.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Lighthouse is a flexible game for professionals who are searching for meaning at work. It can be used by coaches, by professionals in a career transition, by universities, but also by anyone looking to shape a new career that will bring about a deeper sense of fulfilment and collective purpose.

PHASES AND ELEMENTS
Lighthouse is divided into three navigation phases: 1. Past, 2. Present, and 3. Future. Fifty cards that can be played by navigation phase, or by specific topics chosen according to specific needs. The game can be used by groups of up to five players. It is, however, suggested that paths are split to allow enough reflection time and breaks in between.

TIME NEEDED
